How to Create a Back to School Scrapbook page with your Silhouette or Cricut | by Lyn

As the school holidays are here I have this month scrapped a picture of my daughters last day at High School. Using a cut file from Helen’s Craft Studio Teacher Monogram School Bundle. I picked the file with the circle in the middle to put my photo in.

Materials Needed:

  • Teacher Monogram School Bundle
  • Beige cardstock 12×12
  • Pale blue cardstock 12×12
  • Photograph
  • Cardstock stash
  • Fancy Pants Family and Co. School embellishments

Using Silhouette Studio I enlarged the cut file to fill a 12×12 page. I used sheet of beige cardstock from my Craftsmart Paper Pad Cedar Solids. I then cut using my Silhouette Cameo 3 on the following settings

Blade 5
Speed 5
Force 15
Passes 2

I picked another plain coloured cardstock for my background sheet pale blue from Craftsmart Paper Pad Playground. I used the pale blue to catch the blue in my daughter’s shirt on the photo.

I then backed the pencils and rulers using a different colour for each one from my stash of left-over papers/card. I stuck with primary schools as it was a school layout.

I then added some school themed embellishments from my pack of Fancy Pants Family and Co. these were all primary colours and fit in nicely.

And lastly I added just a small title with some navy small letters, as I didn’t want to take anything away from the lovely cut file.

There you go a quick and easy layout with loads of punch from a great cut file.
