How to Creat a Celebratory Mothers Day Scrapbook Page Layout | Mom | by Lyn

As my mom is no longer with us, I thought I’d celebrate Mothers Day with a page just for her.

Materials
Helen’s Mothers day wreath cut file.
Cocoa Vanilla Love Always- Class act paper
Cocoa Vanilla More Than words- Gossamer.
Off cut of white card
Silhouette Cameo 3
Canon Selphy photo printer
Cocoa Vanilla More Than Words embellishments
Mambichips
Enamel Dots
Glossy Accents.
Double sided sticky tape and 3D sticky pads.

Firstly I picked a photo of my mom I wanted to use and printed it on my Selphy in Black & White. This meant I could pick any colours/papers I wanted to. I used something quite plain for the wreath cutfile and in my box of Cocoa Vanilla papers I found the Gossamer paper which was perfect for backing.

Next I loaded the cutfile on to a mat in my silhouette studio. I picked the Mom wreath and copied and pasted it to a new page.
I enlarged it to fill the page and then I used the following settings on my Silhouette Cameo 3 to cut the file.
Blade 5
Speed 5
Force 15
Passes 2

I wanted the word MOM to stand out a bit more so I cut a backing for it from white card.
I did this by selecting the wreath and selecting the offset button to make a slighty larger cut file

I pulled the inner wreath away from the mat and deleted it to leave the offset.
I then used the edit points button on the left hand side of the mat so I could select the mom part of the cut file.

As you can see I selected points at each end of the MOM word and by right clicking you can break the path. This means you don’t have to cut out the whole of the wreath again. Next having removed the other parts of the wreath you can now pull the ends together to seal the MOM word ready to cut out.

So now we are ready to put the page together.
First I stuck my white card Mom to the Mom wreath slightly off to one side. Next I put the 3D padded glue spots on the back of the wreath to give some height to the layout. Pop this onto your page and put your photo on slotting it into the wreath. You are now ready to have fun with your embellishments.
I picked the Cocoa Vanilla more than words embellishments as they matched my papers and they are mostly flowers which match to the wreath. As they are semi transparent you can still see the wreath cut file. I used Glossy accents to stick the flowers on by just putting a blob in the middle as it then makes the flowers curl up slightly.

I used Mambi chips for the words I wanted on the page and finished the wreath off with some enamel dots as centres for the flowers still showing.

And there you have my page to remember my MOM.
